  • Honeyville Freeze Dried Peas are fresh and crunchy. Whoever said healthy foods can’t be tasty, too, was wrong. Use Honeyville’s dried peas to recreate some of your mother’s delectable recipes, such as hearty Chicken Pot Pie, Split Pea Soup, and Fried Rice. Peas are even great as a simple side dish. Just rehydrate them and watch them come to life!
The freeze drying process consists of placing the fresh grown peas into a refrigerated vacuum system that dehydrates them. During this process, the ice in the peas doesn’t become liquid; it turns right into vapor. Additives need not be a concern for you because our freeze drying process maintains the integrity of the vegetable. When re-hydrated, they will begin to resemble fresh peas, again. Rest assured that they don’t lose their nutritional value in the freeze dried state. For this very reason, they’re an excellent choice for long-term food storage, and emergency preparedness.Shelf-Life: Freeze Dried Peas can be stored for 10 to 15 years in a sealed #10 can (oxygen absorber included) under ideal storage conditions (cool, dry place). Once opened, they have an average shelf life of 12 to 18 months.
